Dean has been teaching Combat Sports in Newark since 1988 and continues to teach and inspire the younger generation of boxers and kickboxers. He is a former Kickboxing World Champion and is an 8th Dan Black belt. 

His passion and dedication to Newark Amateur Boxing Club, Suggys Gym and Newark itself is clear in everything he has achieved and everything he continues to do. 

He is the founder of NABC and he has shown unwavering commitment to the young people of Newark and the sport of boxing for over 20 years.

A local lad himself, he is well known, highly regarded and well respected both around Newark and in the world of boxing and martial arts. 

He is a Level 3 GB and England Boxing Development Coach and is the East Midlands Regional Coach - all incredible achievements and one that showcases his commitment to Boxing. Yet despite his own successes Dean continues to place the success of the boxers at NABC over his own.

Outside of the ring Dean is father to 4 children  - 3 of whom have, or continue to hold, world titles themselves. He is also a proud Grandfather to the newest addition to the Suggy's family.
